Sutong Tire Resources, Inc., headquartered just outside Houston in Hockley, TX., was established in 1993 as an importer of medium truck tires to serve the independent dealer in the United States. Since its inception Sutong has enjoyed continuous growth and expanded its business into several channels of distribution. Sutong currently supplies everything from medium truck, and OTR, to lawn and garden tires in various manufactures brands as well as its own proprietary brands.
Sutong also has assembly operations for tire and wheel assemblies for lawn and garden and ST trailer tires for independent dealers, mass merchandisers and for OE trailer manufactures.
Sutong moved its headquarters to its current location in October 2014, and employs over 100 dedicated specialists. Sutong’s new headquarters will allow for Sutong’s continuing growth in the years to come.
Sutong currently operates three distribution centers in the U. S. totaling over 500,000 square feet and one 76,000 square foot distribution center in Ontario, Canada. Sutong recently purchased a 360,000 square foot facility in Anderson, Indiana.
The Anderson facility will be used to consolidate one of Sutong’s distribution centers in Indiana and one in Houston, TX. It will also provide Sutong with needed space for its future growth. The Anderson facility is located just north of Indianapolis on interstate 69 and Sutong has targeted June of 2017 for this facility to be fully operational.
Sutong says that this new facility will not only provide synergies for the company but will also provide for more efficient operations to better serve its U. S. customers.
